About

The studio

SillyArts is a working studio, not a print shop. Everything here is painted by hand, catalogued, and sold once.

Watercolour and acrylic behave differently and are photographed accordingly. Every painting is documented under consistent lighting, colour-managed to sRGB, and published at a resolution that shows the brushwork without handing out a print-ready file.

How a piece is documented

When a painting is photographed, the archival image is fingerprinted with a SHA-256 hash. That hash is recorded against the catalogue entry along with the date it was first observed. It is a small thing, but it is the foundation of everything that follows: a Certificate of Authenticity is only meaningful if it points at a specific, unaltered image of a specific painting.

Certificates and their on-chain anchoring are being built in stages. The record itself starts from the first upload, so nothing has to be reconstructed later.

Buying

Each original is one of one. Send an enquiry about a piece and you will hear back from the studio directly, usually within a day or two. Work ships worldwide, insured, unframed unless noted.
